| About Seaspan Founded in 2000, Seaspan is the world’s largest independent charter owner and manager of containerships with over 5,900 employees across three offices in Hong Kong, Canada, and India. Seaspan is the largest global containership lessor, primarily focused on long-term, fixed-rate leases with the world’s largest container shipping liners. Seaspan’s operating fleet consists of 132 vessels with a total capacity of 1,233,650 TEU and an additional 57 under construction, increasing total fleet capacity to 1,918,650 TEU on a fully delivered basis. Previously a public company (NYSE: SSW), Seaspan was delisted in 2020 after becoming a wholly owned subsidiary of Atlas, and Seaspan’s shares were converted into Atlas shares. Seaspan provides an integrated platform that combines long-term leases on modern containerships with ship management services. Overseeing every aspect of the process from sea to shore, the company offers an alternative to the traditional vessel ownership. Its customers consist of the world’s largest shipping lines. |
